Can't load a trained model without retraining it

I’m new to pytorch and I want to train a classifier in one file and then load it and evaluate it in a second file. When i load the model and try to evaluate it on another file, it’s as if the entirety of the file containing the model is executed from the beginning.

Is there any way to avoid this? Am i doing something wrong?

File 1: model training.

print(f'Accuracy of the network on the 10000 test images: {100 * correct // total} %')

When i run file 2, i get the outputs from file 1. When the training is done (again), i finally get the outputs from file 2 to come out.

You are not guarding your first script with:

if __name__ == "__main__":
    train()

which will thus execute the entire script during the import.
