As PyTorch is officially supporting XPU, I was wondering what “with Intel® Arc™ Graphics” on Getting Started on Intel GPU — PyTorch 2.10 documentation actually means. Is there some limitation on non-Arc GPUs that keeps them from being recognized as an XPU device? Or does Arc graphics just refer to the Panther Lake series as having a GPU using the Arc architecture?
I guess this is not limited to the new Panther Lake generation, but also applies to Lunar Lake. Would love to hear about some experiences using torch on iGPU!
