Myself and my collegue are presenting our thoughts on supporting data lineage at Pytorch EU next week and wanted to start a broader discussion on the topic in the community. We will present our ideas on how PyTorch could act as a OpenLineage producer, and introduce the concept of a data lineage engine. We are open to feedback and suggestions on where else in the stack data lineage might need to be enabled. We will be delivering the talk “From Gradients to Governance: Making PyTorch Lineage Aware” next Wednesday. Looking forward to some great discussions virtually and at the conference.
