Apple has recently announced the new arm macs which will come by the end of the year. has PyTorch started the work on making it work on arm macs
I don’t think any of us have access to that hardware so no-one has tested.
You can definitely build pytorch for arm though (https://github.com/nmilosev/pytorch-arm-builds shows how for raspberry and android phones for example).
Also maybe the compatibility layer from Apple will allow you to use the regular x86 lib just fine?
so PyTorch has not brought the developer transition kit by apple . Cause the new macs SOC are going to have machine learning accelerator and neural engine. You can see the SOC here https://9to5mac.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/6/2020/06/wwdc-2020-14.31.12-PM.png
