I am partecipating to my first Kaggle competition, my team and I are currently first but we want to avoid overfitting to the public leaderboard, as we know that in these competitions it is very common to do it, ending up in a lower position on the private leaderboard.
In your experience, besides classic generatlization techniques, what would be a way to avoid overfitting the public LB score?
