Difference between error rate and accuracy?

Hai, I am working on image classification task. I have referred many papers, in some papers they have proposed to achieve accuracy of 83.4% but they have no mention of error rate they achieved, while in some they propose they have achieved error rate of 6.54% but they have no mention of accuracy obtained.
My question is whether 1-error rate = accuracy?

I think the better way is to see what is exactly the definition for both. But in general, I think they are the same. You can check this and this.
