how i can install anaconda and use it to install pytorch in ubuntu 18.04

Download it from Free Download | Anaconda then follow the installation instruction. Then use the installation command from https://pytorch.org. On Ubuntu 18.04 this should work without issues.

mahmud@mahmud-z:~/pytorch$
mahmud@mahmud-z:~/pytorch$ pip install torch torchvision

well, you are using pip not conda

i found conda better

I also prefer it most of the time. What I meant though was that you were calling

pip install torch torchvision`

in your example above that failed instead of

conda install pytorch torchvision -c pytorch

(you should maybe try the latter to see if it solves your problem)
