License for Resnet included in torchvision

Please provide information about the license for Resnet included in torchvision.
I checked the README on this GitHub, where there is a section about Pre-Trained Model License, and subsequently referenced resnet.py.
However, I could not find any information about the license. What are the licenses for ResNet18 and ResNet50 included in torchvision?

Is it the same BSD 3-Clause “New” or “Revised” License as the source file?

I would like to resolve this by January 2024.
Can someone please give me an answer?
Please let me know if there is a mistake in the posting destination.

I am by no means a lawyer or work for PyTorch. But I would like to point out that the GitHub docs state:

These weights reproduce closely the results of the paper using a simple training recipe.

And the weights are downloaded from PyTorch.org.

I interpret that to mean these are not the original weights of the ResNet paper, but were prepared with similar methodology by PyTorch, and thus the GitHub torchvision license likely extends to them.

Hi Johnson,
Thank you for your response.
I’m glad we have the same understanding.
I would like to use it as the BSD 3-Clause “New” or “Revised” License.

If you are a PyTorch developer and have a different opinion, please reply.

Maybe @NicolasHug knows

Thank you. @marksaroufim

@NicolasHug, I’m looking forward to receiving your response.
