Understanding BatchNorm usage in DCGAN Tutorial

in the DCGAN Tutorial here I do not understand why there is no BatchNorm layer after the first Conv Layer in the Discrimenator:

I do not have a good understanding of the usage of BatchNorm layers. But from the looks it seems like it is being used after every Conv Layer, so why not also after the first one?
