I have tried NVIDIA drivers 525, 535, and 550, and encountered the same error with each. However, when I reverted to driver 515, everything worked again. I’m really not sure what the issue is. I installed PyTorch through conda, so there should not be any incompatibility issues with the CUDA version.
I guess your install routine failed while trying to upgrade the drivers. You could run a simple CUDA sample as a quick smoke test after installing new drivers to make sure your setup is working properly.
