Back in May '23 an issue was triaged, “multiple mps for base X86 Mac with multiple gpus”, which has been largely ignored. Even in this forum, some still insist that all Macs only ever had/have one GPU. This issue is one of the many that is holding MPS back as a viable device for PyTorch.
Please accelerate resolution of this issue.
